Privacy

A panel shows your Home Assistant on your own network and keeps your smart-home data there. There is no cloud account, and it never sends us your dashboard or what is on screen. Only a few things leave a panel, and none of them carry anything from your home.

Staying secure and up to date

• Security updates, automatically. The panel fetches Debian and Armbian security updates from their mirrors and installs them on its own, so it stays patched without anyone touching it.
• HAPanel updates, only when we ship a fix. The panel checks our update server for signed HAPanel updates. This exists for bug fixes and improvements to the panel software, nothing more. Like any download, our server sees the request and the address it came from, and none of your data. Every update is signed, so the panel installs nothing it cannot verify came from us.

Basic status, so we can support you

Each panel reports a small amount of operational status. This is what lets us help when a customer has a problem: we can at least see which version it runs, whether it is healthy, and roughly where it is.

• Software version, uptime, and whether it is online
• Health signals: CPU temperature and Wi-Fi signal
• The name you gave it, like "Living room"
• Country, worked out from the connection at our end. The raw address is not kept beyond handling abuse.

What we never collect

• Precise or GPS location. The hardware has none.
• Your Home Assistant data, your dashboard, or what is on screen.
• Passwords or your Home Assistant token.
• Audio from the microphone. It stays entirely local and never leaves the panel.

This website

This website sets no tracking cookies and loads nothing from third parties, so there is no cookie banner to click away. The contact and order forms only collect what you type, and we use it only to reply to you or handle your order.
